“Mr. Fix It” Syndrome

When something starts to break we do everything in our control to fix it but, it continues to break regardless of our painstaking efforts. Time passes with endless thoughts of frustration during the day and sleepless nights of resentment; how could something I cherish so much break? I am “Mr. Fix It” for god sake!!  Everyone has a little “Mr. Fix it” in them but, when everything around us seems to be breaking apart maybe it’s time to send “Mr. Fix It” in for a repair…

Control– When life is feeling like hell on Earth, don’t be afraid to let go and lose control. Sometimes you have to lose control to understand control. We can’t control everything in life or change others, but we can control the lens that we perceive our reality in. It’s normal to feel insecure and frustrated when things don’t go the way we want but, what we need to do is learn to control these negative emotions. Change your thinking and your perception; everything will begin to flow as you transform negative emotions into positive emotions.“You must be the change you wish to see in the world.” – Mahatma Gandhi

Confidence – When you value yourself and your time, you become secure in every aspect of your life. An individual who is confident knows his/her self-worth and does not need others approval in society. The only person that needs to accept you is yourself; don’t care about what others think about you. Be confident and secure in yourself and your relationships. People don’t control your life, your mind does. Use your mind as an ally not an enemy and fill your conscious with positive thoughts about yourself and others. Life becomes more beautiful when you focus on the positives instead of the negatives.“The eyes of others our prisons; their thoughts our cages.” – Virginia Woolf

Gratitude– Don’t take time or people in your life for granted, live each moment to the fullest. Learn to appreciate yourself and others today, life doesn’t promise us a tomorrow. Never spread or receive negative emotions, always look for a way to think on the bright side of a bad situation and remain positive at all times. Focus on the good things in a person instead of micro scoping a few flaws; no one is perfect, don’t let your ego cloud your judgment and destroy valuable relationships. If you miss someone call them, if you find someone keep them, if you love someone fight for them, and if you want to be happy tomorrow live today…“Forget yesterday – it has already forgotten you. Don’t sweat tomorrow – you haven’t even met. Instead, open your eyes and your heart to a truly precious gift – today.” -Steve Maraboli
